Facility Maintenance Technician

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic performs hands-on maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
o Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
o Perform maintenance activities including, but not limited to, Pump rebuilds, Preventative Maintenance, Basic installations of pipe, and electric work.
o Perform basic repairs and up-keep in the Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, and Mechanical disciplines.
o Acts as an assistant to higher-level maintenance personnel on larger, more complex maintenance activities.
o Operates a forklift if required and trained.
o Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
o Ensures that work meets compliance standards within facility operation.
o Maintaining a clean work environment. o Reviews all applicable SOPs, annually, and scores a satisfactory score on SOP quizzes.
o Supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices.
o Adherence to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs.
o Performs job functions in compliance with the company standard: Clean Compliance.
o Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
REQUIREMENTS:
o High School diploma or equivalent required. However, candidates possessing an Associate's Degree in Process Technology, Chemistry/Chemical Technology, Biology, or Environmental Science or a Process Technology/Operator training certificate (of at least 90 contact hours).
o Successfully pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test.
o 1
years experience in preventative maintenance or basic installations of one or more of the following: Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, Mechanic.
o 1
years experience in a chemical or similar process plant/industry, preferably in an operating capacity or equivalent military experience is preferred.
o Demonstrates basic proficiency in welding, electrical, pipe fitting, mechanical knowledge by successfully pass a standard welding test.
o 24 or 40 hour OSHA training and annual DOT training updates.
o Heavy equipment and forklift operator certification as directed by Maintenance Manager.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
